Last week, Directors John Lione and Steve Watts, and Senior Project Surveyor Andy Gray, attended the CTBUH Frankfurt Regional Conference.
The theme of this year’s event was ‘Full Circle: The Life and Second life of European Tall Buildings.’
The conference saw CTBUH thought leaders and experts in high-density living explore best practices in tall buildings and sustainable cities in Europe.
The European regional conference is an important event in the CTBUH calendar, providing an opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing amongst a focussed group of construction professionals and enables broader engagement of CTBUH members, especially for those who may not be able to attend the international event. Whilst smaller than the international conference we still had in excess of 100 attendees.
A fascinating final session, ‘Future Lives of Past Skyscrapers’ gave some great examples of tall building reinvention, the opportunities such developments present and the challenges that arise.
