alinea’s Big Golf Race for Prostate Cancer UK

On 26th July, keen golfers in the alinea team will taking part in The Big Golf Race for Prostate Cancer UK. The group will be aiming to play 72 holes (4 rounds) of golf in one day. This equates to 26 miles of walking, the same distance as a marathon, and depending on your standard of golf, over 350 swings of your club. The group consists of Ian Fairley, Michael Grover, Kostas Dellas and James Pagden.

Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes. That’s the same time it takes to play approximately three holes of golf.  The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.
