We are attending the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) 2024 Americas Conference

Director Steve Watts and Associate Director Rachel Coleman look forward to attending the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) 2024 Americas Conference in Miami, USA, next week.

This year’s theme, ‘Future Downtown: Density and Resiliency in Cities Across the Americas,’ will delve into the distinctive challenges and opportunities that exist within the downtown landscapes across the Americas. By exploring under the surface, we can learn what’s required to ensure a sustainable urban future.

The event will see the launch of the City Advocacy initiative, a new programme that will encourage and push forward thinking about construction challenges at an urban scale.

On Wednesday afternoon, there will be a City Advocacy roundtable, and further discussion will take place on Thursday morning in front of a larger audience.

Steve will be moderating discussions alongside a distinguished panel of speakers; Francisco García Iglesias, Principal at The Euclid Group (Miami), Lay Bee Yap, Group Director of Architecture & Urban Design Group at Urban Redevelopment Authority (Singapore), and Peter Murray OBE, Curator in Chief at New London Architecture (London).

The event will provide attendees with an unparalleled opportunity to gain key insights into the latest ideas in sustainable development from industry specialists in tall buildings, infrastructure, and urban development. Representatives from the USA, Singapore and UK will come together for what promises to be an exciting and highly beneficial networking event.
