Following our involvement with the main renovation, we are thrilled to share that the commercial Cat B fit-out for 15 Norton Folgate and Nicholls & Clarke, situated at Norton Folgate, has been completed.
Located just north of Spitalfields in London, we provided cost management services on this net-zero embodied carbon scheme, which ties together the area’s unique heritage with contemporary, versatile commercial and retail space. The development offers fully electric workspaces with all electricity obtained from renewable sources.
The development seamlessly blends sensitively restored old buildings with new build elements, retaining much of the original character. It comprises a cluster of elegantly and meticulously restored Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian buildings alongside new-build medium-rise blocks set back from the edge of the street.

The buildings have been sympathetically fitted out in a modern warehouse style and benefit from brilliant, unobstructed views to the north and east. We have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with QOB to bring Universal Design Studio’s vision to life.”
The renovation has also been nominated for the 2024 Building Awards in the categories ‘Net Zero’ and ‘Retrofit Project of the Year.’ We look forward to the awards ceremony on 5 November, when the award winners will be announced.
