We are delighted to be supporting Richard Powell in the upcoming RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards 2020, shortlisted in the Quantity Surveying category. The event will be held this Friday 27th November.
Richard has really grown in his professional capacity as an alinea Partner and challenged himself through working on high profile, complex projects and internal strategic initiatives during his six years with the firm.
In his own words “All throughout that time I have worked alongside a team of fantastic, highly skilled people whom have wholly supported my development. I can genuinely say it is a truly excellent business to work for and one to be proud of”.
We are very much looking forward to the evening – which is being held virtually – and having a couple of celebratory beers whatever the result!
A bit more on our nominee:
Richard has over 17 years’ experience in the construction industry, within a variety of sectors. He has a passion for excellent service delivery and this together with his strong communication skills, professionalism and integrity has resulted in him building deep, trusted advisor relationships with his clients.
Within alinea, Richard is an integral part of our strategy for Retail Development and our BIM Specialism. His versatility has also allowed him to play a number of key roles within our Business Excellence, Innovation, Business Planning Process and Strategic Objectives.
Richard has demonstrated his ability within different positions including complex new build projects; ‘cut and carve’ projects within existing live environments; and high volume fit out on major programmes. He shows excellent attention to detail whilst working under pressure, a strong technical understanding across all aspects of quantity surveying and has a real tenacity to reach a desired outcome.
