We are delighted that the recent retrofit of Tower Hamlets Town Hall has received its first award from the Future Cities Forum.
21 built environment projects were shortlisted across seven categories and Tower Hamlets Town Hall won the ‘Future workplaces’ category. A category which demonstrates how to draw employees back to the office, support staff health and wellbeing, as well as giving new life to unloved buildings.
The former Grade II listed building has been transformed from the former Royal London Hospital complex, into a new, more accessible headquarters for London Borough of Tower Hamlets council, and space for public use.
