International Women in Engineering Day

Today we are proud to celebrate the eighth year of International Women in Engineering Day.

This year’s #INWED21 theme is ‘engineering heroes’, looking to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on the different career opportunities available to women in the construction industry.

In celebration of INWED21, alinea’s Victoria Caines joined the Waterman Group to venture around the City of London visiting two of our fantastic projects, Gresham St Pauls and Warwick Court.  The Waterman Group spoke to a variety of engineers to gain fascinating insights from the brilliant female-led project team behind the major refurbishment of Warwick Court.

“By starting my pathway into construction with studying Civil Engineering, it has provided me with a number of transferable skills and opportunities to be able to be where I am today – working as a chartered MEP quantity surveyor with some great teams on some of London’s most exciting projects.
