The project, located in the Liverpool ONE complex, comprised the refurbishment and reconfiguration of John Lewis’ existing womenswear and beauty departments on the first floor, with some consequential relocations of existing departments to the third floor.
Notable features included new ceramic flooring (incorporating the reuse of some existing ceramic tiling), wall linings, power and data systems installation, a new feature ceiling, shopfitting, including new brands (with some reuse of existing fittings), wall finishes and decorations generally.
The client instructed that project procurement be negotiated with the contractor responsible for constructing the JLP Birmingham branch, as they were able to deliver the refresh project within the client’s tight time constraints.
