Turner & Townsend alinea’s unique hands on approach delivers an unrivalled BIM service which provides bespoke additional benefits to our clients and projects.

  • Why

The benefits of BIM to projects and clients are immense; the level of coordination and accuracy of the design and accessible data go beyond the planning and design phase of the project extending throughout the building life cycle. Supporting processes including cost management (feasibility, planning, procurement), construction, project management and facility operation. alinea are committed to BIM and the value of engaging in its development and subsequent use.

  • What

BIM or Building Information Modelling is a process for creating and managing information on a construction project across the project lifecycle. One of the key outputs of this process is the Building Information Model, the digital description of every aspect of the built asset. This model draws on information assembled collaboratively and updated at key stages of a project. Creating a digital Building Information Model enables those who interact with the building to optimize their actions, resulting in a greater whole life value for the asset. (The NBS).

  • How

Our proven application of BIM and digital working capability differentiates us from our competitors. BIM is a USP that elevates our cost management proposition. Our objective is to actively participate in the formulation of BIM strategy on a project, and to align our cost management service to deliver to this strategy. Our BIM vision for a project is to ensure the models, data and BIM execution plan, enable us to digitally quantify and estimate, from RIBA Stage 0, right through to harnessing the model for procurement, reporting costs in a manner aligned the to the clients reporting structure.
